What is also very sad is the fact that we've lost a brand that once made a good product. From a consumer standpoint we have one less option at our disposal. That's never good in spite of the fact that there are other great products to choose from.

Bugger, I have been looking forward to trying out my Eucharist soap, after reading this I am not in such a rush, which is a shame as I really like the scent. However I dont mind the violet cream I got.
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Gentlemen,
To atone for my sins of lathering with Trumper soaps the past few days, today I floated into Paradise with Martin de Candre and a 28 mm Thater two-band silvertip. I overloaded the brush and had enough lather for six or seven passes — I face lather. The initial lathering took probably five minutes. Each lathering between my usual three passes probably took three minutes. Too much of a good thing? Oh, yes, and delicious. You don't float into Paradise without silky wings, you know?Last edited by Obie; 01-13-2014 at 03:46 PM.

My experience with the Eucris is exactly the same. The damn stuff is less than mediocre. Martin D. on the other hand is great.
Nothing is as it ever was.

I can't comment in their soaps as I've never used them -- I much prefer cream in general.
I haven't bought a Trumper cream for a while (a tub lasts me ages) but I think the creams are still very good and unless someone's had a bad experience, I wouldn't avoid the creams by default.
That said, I was tempted to try a soap but I probably won't now! I'd quite like to try a tube of eucris cream though!

Thanked: 20Gentlemen-
I have never tried Trumper's soaps because of past threads and comments of a similar nature. However, there are a few products that I really like:
-I think their Skinfood is excellant. I am finishing the Limes and will probably try one of the other flavors when this one runs out. Although it is expensive, a very little is all that is needed and my 200ml bottle is going on 2 1/2 years of somewhat regular use.
-I have tried a bunch of their creams, and to me most of them are good but not great with two exceptions: the coconut and the Spanish leather. The Spanish leather is a good (not quite great) performer, but I absolutely love the scent. I think the coconut is a very good cream. The scent is interesting and in my opinion it is the best performer of the Trumper's creams. The coconut oil (at least to me) really seems to add something to the performance.
Of those I've tried, these are three Trumper's products that I will buy again.
As a side note - I also have a bottle of Trumper's Spanish Leather Aftershave. Whereas I like it a lot, when it is done I will try Trufitt and Hill's version as per Obie's recommendation! (given some time ago in a different thread)
