I have tried 2 of there soaps "Almond" and "Officers and Gentlemen" the Almond I can't do anything with but the "Officers and Gentlemen" I have no problem with and like very much. I have no clue as to why one works and the other is a bust I used the same brush and the same routine on both.

I got a tub of trumper sandalwood cream. I never really cared for the scent but thought it worked ok. Then I bought D.R. Windsor. Needless to say the trumpers is still in the cabinet an hasn't been used since. Sad cause I really wanted to like it. So pricey should've been great.

I have no one to blame but myself, I had previously read this post but had not remembered it until too late.
I have some TOBS Sandalwood soap, which I really enjoy, so on a trip to London at Christmas, I thought that I would buy some more TOBS soaps. However TOBS selection of fragrances in their soaps, is not as extensive as their creams, so I purchased only one.
I then popped into the Trumper store just a little further along Jermyn Street, there I found some more soaps and purchased two, Limes and Rose.
I tried the Limes, truly, truly awful, The lather just disappears on my face whilst I'm shaving, tried everything, presoaking, using my big Omega Boar brush, using bottled water, all to no avail.
I will try the Rose soap, but I suspect I have purchased two soaps for the shower.Last edited by easyace; 01-05-2015 at 08:16 AM. Reason: Typo

I tried the rose soap this evening, for the sake of fairness, I should give an update.
The rose soap was better than the limes, not great, but useable.

Thanked: 1I found this old thread while searching for reviews on Trumpers soap.
I have Trumpers sandalwood and the lather dries out before i even start to shave.
I thought since im used to creams mostly maybe soap is just not my thing.
Luckily i found this thread and i will be trying out some of the other brands of soap mentioned here.
