I like Taylor of Old Bond Street. Really nice lather, easy to lather as well.

By far the best soap I've ever used would be Boellis Panama 1924 not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for, so moisturising and so luxurious incredible slick.

Interesting, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I hated this soap the first time out. I gave a sample to Valery from the Gentleman's Den, he emailed me as was absolutely dumbfounded that I had dismissed this soap - he thought it was an incredible soap, and he's used hundreds of different soaps. So since using it the third and fourth times, I've really grown to love this stuff, it certainly is in the top 5, for me, of my current rotation of soaps.

I'm glad you've grown to like the soap Phrank, I don't know your method but I only face lather and this soap is amazing I also love the beautiful natural scent of pure almond oil a soap of real quality.

Once in awhile I break out the scuttle for some hot lather, which is nice for a change up, but primarily I face lather, and this soap is truly outstanding. Plan on using it again next shave, once thing about getting a box of this soap, is it certainly will last quite awhile.

Was it just me, or is it normal to have found this soap very over-powering at first and then find it mellows? Haven't found this with other soaps to this extent?

SRD doesn't carry it so here's some info where I got mine in Toronto...

You can order it from Mens Essentials here in Toronto, and any order over $50.00 Cdn is free shipping.

And here's the link to the Panama 1924 soap from them, unfortunately, it's out of stock right now. What I did was phone them (you can toll free) and when they get some in, they will put it aside for you, it's goes that quickly, I had to wait about two weeks:

I have to stop reading these threads. It always ends up the same - me ordering soap.
I always come back to MdC. I don't have a lot of soaps but MdC is at the top, and Tcheon Fung second. That's saying a lot for Tcheon Fung given it's so inexpensive...
