I agree that it's a great buy and a great performer. I too got a few of the twist tubes from a beauty supply place because the postage was the same no matter how many you bought (within reason), and I now travel with Arko in the tube. It works just like a deodorant tube!

I also find Arko incredibly good although the scent is tolerable but not something I look forward to. Imagine if they matched the scents from the big soap makers...

I've said this before somewhere in the forum, but I actually like the smell, and most of my soaps and creams have scents that don't outlast the shave anyway. I have bought many soaps and creams, but mostly in search of the easy lather and good glide. The scent is secondary for me.

Thanked: 44Ive just had a friend return from a holiday in Turkey, his mission “Acquire a stock pile of Arko shave sticks”. I am happy to report that the mission was a resounding success and I am now stocked up for the foreseeable future Over there is costs about 30p (50c) ish a stick !

I dunno if it was me or not, but if not, I certainly thank whoever did and if it was me, you're most welcome.
If anyone else is considering doing this, I'd recommend using contact cement for the label... Mine has held up perfectly for right at or just over a year, or most of a stick, and still looks as good as the day I put it on.
As an interesting aside, I needed some soap to wash my face this morning, and our hand soap is too harsh. Everything else is packed up for the move, so out came the Arko. I love the staying power of it's scent... It's been about 3 hours now and I can still smell it. It's not overpowering, but subtle and rather pleasant. I've even had comments from coworkers about liking "whatever it is you're wearing this morning"...

Thanked: 39This has been mentioned a few times around the forum but you can mash the Arko into a bowl and add essential oils to change the scent - I've used lemon, orange and lavender so far and the lavender gives the most bang for buck. You stand to lose a couple of bucks for the essential oil and a stick of Arko if it all goes tragically wrong - worth considering, certainly.

Thanked: 44I love the smell, it reminds me of holidaying in turkey. Walking through the little streets you get a waft of this stuff all the time, the Turks are big on their straight razor (well shavetes, I presume its for health n safety reasons) shaves
