Arko lathers awesome, but I only used it once. I thought the scent lasted for at least half the day. I wasn't sure about the scent, but SWMBO didn't like it. Unfortunately, my face reacted to something in it and was red for half a day. Arko rejected me.

Wolfpack34, It does smell like Ivory doesn't it? I have no complaints about Arko. Can't beat the price.

I use both the stick and the bowl. A few drops of essential oil left in the bowl over night can cover the scent if you don't like it.

    Arco, güle güle kullanin.

I agree -- much ado about the scent which smells like Ivory soap to me, lathers great, and is cheap. It is my travel and "quick shave" soap when I need mo muss no fuss.

The next time I get more of this, I am going to get a bowl for travel use. It's the same stuff, but looks very convenient for that. Best Regards, .... ocam

Arko sticks are phenomenal. I bought a case recently for $13. Will probably last for the rest of my life..

Phoenix51, Hey, congrats on that nice score. It seems to me that more and more drug stores aren't carrying bar shaving soap any longer. Arko works for me, it is easily available and doesn't irritate. The only other thing I put on my skin is witch hazel. Best Regards,.....ocam

    Finally!!!

I knew Arko's smell reminded me of something! Ivory soap is absolutely correct. I have heard younger people compare it to "airline soap" or cheap hotel soap before and I can relate to that.

You are however 100% correct I grew up on Ivory bar soap and that's the connection that my brain recognized but couldn't connect with!

Thank you I will rest easier every time I smell Arko now that the brain cells are not exploding trying to come up with that connection anymore!

I'm so happy that this works for those who find it wonderful.
At the end of my first and last shave with Arko my face looked like i had been bobbing for french fries...(Chips to some)
Fortunately I have a friend who loves it, and gave the once used and other un-opened stick a happy home.
