You're right, I just checked out the Green and Red online (the two I have):
Green
Ingredients
Aqua (Water/Eau), Stearic Acid, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Menthol, Camphor, Eucalyptol, Eucalyptus globulus Leaf Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Geraniol, Parfum (Fragrance).
Red
Ingredients
Aqua (Water/Eau), Stearic Acid, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Hydroxide, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Sodium Metasilicate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Citronellol, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Santalum album (Sandalwood) Oil.
I see the main dif being Shea butter and Cocoa seed butter in the Red. I can't say I notice any difference, but I haven't used the green much yet.Than ≠ Then

Thanked: 5I have not used Arko in a while. I have been using MDC exclusively for almost a year, and since August, I have been using Palmolive Classic cream (I love this cream). Today, after having pressed a stick in a container for my father, I decided to use Arko again. I was quickly reminded of the reason why I bought 10 sticks almost three years ago. It seems that I will be using Arko for a little while before switching to another soap/cream. I actually like the smell.
One thing I noticed one thing: in my case, I should not water it down too much. I prefer it a bit on the thicker side.

I will only reorder Proraso Red anymore. The white sucks and the green was much better my last tub. The red is great so far. Really great!
YMMV
Someone send me an Arko stick or two. I will send you some Proraso white!Last edited by sharptonn; 10-06-2015 at 03:06 AM.

Be careful with how you do this though. I found that when I simply cut the stick into coins and pressed the into a bowl, they would warp/curl up and break free from the bowl after a few uses. Grating it seems to be working a lot better. I thought I'd take a short cut but it didn't work very well.
