Thanked: 2209Pre-shave creams & oils
Well today I tried something different. One side of my face was prepped as usual and the other side had the addition of of a "Skin Milk" cream applied on top of the lather and worked in.
Man, did that make a difference! The "Skin Milk" side shaved much easier and closer!
Perhaps the preshave oil thing has something going for it?
Of course, I bought the stuff at a garage sale, but so what, it works!Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Thanked: 17PRE-shave ....
Thanks, Randy!
I just posted on another forum topic about what I discoverd .... I normally use the Prorasso pre-shave cream. I also have a tube of the Cremo Cream Shaving Cream which is amazingly slick! I tried using that as an underlayer/pre-shave cream, and lemme tell ya - it was a revelation!
The Cremo Cream is the slickest I have found, providing maximum glide for the blade; it works great to enhance and enrichn the lather when the Classic soaps are applied right on top of it! The very best of BOTH worlds! Superb conditioning and slippery pre-shave, and awesome Classic soap combine for one absolutely amazing shaving experience!

I really like the Proraso pre-post shave cream. I usually rub a bit on after shaving. Great stuff. Has anyone tried any of the Feather products? I was thinking of trying the Herbal Aftershave balm or the Herbal preshave condtioner?

Thanked: 0I use a pre-shave oil occasionally and find a difference with some soaps lathered on afterwards. I have also found that if I take a shave cream and put it on with my fingers without lathering and then lather as usual with a different soap or the same shave cream that makes a positive difference too.

Lynn,
Not sure. What's the 'slippery razor syndrome'? I've suffered from the "buying razor syndrome." Fortunately the symptoms abated before my credit card succumbed. :? lol...

As I have said before I use the Proraso and thanks to Chaaz the creamo cream. He is right when used under the classic soap it produces one slick shave.
