The Pre-Shave Cream can be used either pre or post shave. Yesterday I used it as my post shave a/s. Wet face, just a dap of this stuff, and wow! Yeah, the smell is not on bar with the soap or shaving cream, but it will leave your face very moist!

Beth, my gf works for Target. She brought home the Proraso "soap" and cream. The soap seems to be the cream in a cup, or atleast not a hard soap. Whats the story on that? Anyone else notice this? This could be the first "soap" I start using, since its really a cream. Great stuff and cheap too. I think this will be my new shaving cream.

I haven't compared the ingredients, and since I am at work, won't be doing that for the next little while. Just be prepared for a cold blast...in the winter, this is not for the faint of heart!

It brings back memories of childhood chest colds.... smells
like Vicks Salve to me. Think it will be ok though.

Yes, I love the sensation. Its great, and good for everyone in summer I would think. I wasn't too excited about the container. I suppose there are a few people out there that would use such a thing. If it was a hard soap I'd feel comfortable moving it to a nice wooden bowl but I don't think it will survive that. I think the CEO of every shaving cream company should be given 10 seconds to open their product with wet hands and be shot if they fail, this would really make for better shaving products overall I think.

    Alan,

As pliable as the soap is, it should not be a problem to actually mold it into a different cup or bowl.

OK, Randy, I'll give it a shot. I have a wooden bowl that should fit just right.

I routinely check the shaving supply sections in all grocery stores and pharmacies. The pharmacy next to my house not only carries proraso but it is $6.50 CDN per tube. They also have the preshave cream and the shaving cream tub.

Same company pharmacy at another location just has gillette canned foams. No rhyme or reason for where you can find great shaving stuff.

I used the Proraso pre shave cream and Proraso soap
for the first time today. I like the cool, refreashing
feeling. I finished off with the after shave balm.
I think I will make this a Saturday morning ritual
    for a while.
