I just tried Proraso for the first time yesterday. It was really nice. Very refreshing and effective. I used the pre-shave cream and the shaving soap and felt invigorated. Good stuff.

It is really nice stuff Larry. What a find. I tried the creamy aftershave as well and found it to be very nice. No strong frangrance, but the face felt great. Lynn

The scent of the AS balm is no light you could probably
go ahead and use a cologne of your choosing.

I use it after the hot towel but you could do it before I guess.

I bought the broom, err, I mean brush today. I'll try it in the A.M.

    Alan,

You may want to give the brush a good shampoo and conditioner treatment. Boar brushes are known to have "an aroma"!

    Default Tried it

OK, I tried the brush today. It does have an initial aroma to it. It worked well. I created the lather directly on my face. The long bristles aren't open to the idea of swirling, they prefer to be moved only back and forth. Their stiff enough that they get their way. The lather was quick and effecient. It doesn't do as good a job as a cheap badger hair brush (my last one ran around $40) but considering I payed $9 for this one (retails for $12) it may be just the ticket for someone wanting to try out the experience. For an economy class brush this is an excellent choice.

    Edit:

Second shave and the brush is loosening up a bit. Getting nicer with each shave. I made up a nice lather in an old fashioned bowl and it responded very well.

Papabull, the target between our towns has proraso. it's about 5 aisles before the regular shaving gear in a spa row. there was only one pre/post left when i visited today (well after i left) but the yhad the balm and everything else described here. just in case you never stopped in that CVS on the corner, they carry williams mug soap, pinaud classic aftershave splash and talc as well as palmolive lather cream.

I owe someone an apology! I had an email that Yahoo graciously sent straight to the trash bin, and since I delete the trash daily, I caught it just as it disappeared! So, regarding Prorarso in Salt Lake City, the only Target I have been in so far is the Ft. Union Target in Midvale. They have the tube of shaving cream, tub of soap, Pre-Shaving cream, the Omega brush and the After Shave liquid balm, all in the Spa section, not in the Shaving section. They also had the canned shaving foam.

Just tried the Proraso (shaving cream, after shave, and Omega Brush) I found my dream combo! I honestly don't care if I ever use anything else. It was that good. I actually like the Omega boar brush as well as my C&E Best Badger brush, and better than anything else I have. The Proraso is some outstanding stuff!
