[Does anone use free weights or does everone other thsn me use rubber bands? QUOTE=Thisisclog;1531039]The repeats were on the hill, so nowhere near as fast as the to and from, in the 7:30 range.

Legs are sore today for sure. Taking it easy, catching up on some custom orders in the shop.[/QUOTE]

My bad leg feels a bit more like it should with every workout. The range of motion in my knee continues to improve. The hamstring on the bad leg is starting to feel like it's not 2" long anymore. I can taste it. Three or four more weeks and I'll be on my feet.

On a side note, I finally picked up my bike from the impound lot yesterday. I was hoping to salvage it by replacing the tweaked parts (the back wheel was shaped like an S and the saddle was nearly torn from the seat post.) However on closer inspection the frame had apparently taken some pretty serious hits and was totally dinged and bent. I salvaged by light system and bar ends but will need a new bike. Of course I bought another Raleigh Misceo 2. This is the perfect bike for my purposes.

The more I see of the aftermath of this wreck the more I understand what a miracle it was that I wasn't more seriously injured or even killed. I thank the Lord daily for my superficial injuries and my rapid recovery. Be careful out there fellas. If you rode a bike or took a run today, know that I'm with you in spirit.
Glad to hear that you on the road to recovery.

Had a good and an easier ride this morning. Almost 60k's.

So since Friday, have managed an 8km run and almost 130km's on the bikes. Hopefully I'm now on the road back to fitness.

I would say you are back on the road.

Ran 7km this afternoon, forgot to pace properly and blew it in the first km at a sub 5/km. Spent the rest of it recovering, ended up running the rest at a 6:50.

I went for a trail run this evening. It felt good after being under the weather for a while.

Well, been doing heaps of climbing. On Sat I climbed outside as well as inside. Feeling really strong at the moment. I'm down to just 62.9 kilos and the least amount of body fat (down a whole percentage) since I've been weighing myself every day. The scales don't really measure real body fat content (you're compared against a standard table) and if I adjust only the age setting they tell me I'm about 12%. For me, at the moment, it's about functional ability and strength and low body fat (which for climbing facilitates movement), however, I know I need to add some size building stuff soon (bench presses, squats, weighted chin ups, triceps extensions and arm curls) plus some cardio (bike riding for me) in addition to the climbing.

Hope you're all feeling good about moving.

    This morning's workout was 25:00 for a 600 rep challenge. I finished 530 of the 600 reps:

    80 pushups
    100 situps
    30 burpees (ugh)
    40 Hoisty-J's (partnered squat jumps)
    100 split lunges
    50 tricep dips
30 Boyans (partenered exercise, jump over the other person who is on all fours, then crawl under them while they hold a bridge/downward dog. Named after a guy named Bojan)
    100 jumping jacks

I think the math adds up
