Blowing the cobwebs out. But that's all I can really do unless I wake up earlier than 4:15 as I have to leave home by 6:30 to drop my son off at school.

Have a 60km race next weekend and I need to get my AIG, so will be spending sometime on the bike this weekend. Kinda like trying to cram for exams.

    Hill running today.
2.5km run to the hill trying to keep pace with people I had no business keeping pace with, 5:10/km(8.25/mile)
    4x1km repeats.
2.5km back with the same pace.

Rest day tommorrow. 7km run on Sunday.

    That's a good pace.

How were your 1k repeats? Were they in the 4:15-4:30 range? I haven't done 1k repeats for over 4 years.

Had a good 8k trail run this morning with a couple of hill repeats on sketchy terrain thrown in.

edit: Did a 36k Singlespeed ride this afternoon. Legs now tired!

How are you legs feeling the next day? If I did my math right I'd still be sore.

Quite a workout! I am going to take my daughter to the park later and knock out some pull-ups while I am there. I am shooting for 75

Upper body and core workout with heavy resistance band. Strength and flexibility workout for my legs (both good and bad). While a 3-4 mile run or a 30-40 mile bike ride would have been preferred, this was about as good a total body workout as I could muster from the seat of a wheelchair. My bad leg feels a bit more like it should with every workout. The range of motion in my knee continues to improve. The hamstring on the bad leg is starting to feel like it's not 2" long anymore. I can taste it. Three or four more weeks and I'll be on my feet.

On a side note, I finally picked up my bike from the impound lot yesterday. I was hoping to salvage it by replacing the tweaked parts (the back wheel was shaped like an S and the saddle was nearly torn from the seat post.) However on closer inspection the frame had apparently taken some pretty serious hits and was totally dinged and bent. I salvaged by light system and bar ends but will need a new bike. Of course I bought another Raleigh Misceo 2. This is the perfect bike for my purposes.

The more I see of the aftermath of this wreck the more I understand what a miracle it was that I wasn't more seriously injured or even killed. I thank the Lord daily for my superficial injuries and my rapid recovery. Be careful out there fellas. If you rode a bike or took a run today, know that I'm with you in spirit.

The repeats were on the hill, so nowhere near as fast as the to and from, in the 7:30 range.

Legs are sore today for sure. Taking it easy, catching up on some custom orders in the shop.
