And don't leave it too long between workouts. Prevention is better than cure, especially when you get to my age!

And during my track walking, after an awesome shave and workout, the women's advanced aerobics class was there, doing a major workout, all wonderfully fit, happy looking women of all ages looking great busting some moves to this song, even had me bopping along, old tune I guess from the 90's IIRC?

I was thinking that song is fairly low bpm for an aerobics class. But then, I've never done aerobics in my life, so who am I to judge?

Think they were starting to do their warm down, they'd been bopping pretty heavily for the last 50 minutes....once in a while all the elements come together and I get to appreciate some high calibre athletics, from a purely physical fitness POV of course....

Haha! I get less DOMS now, because my workouts are so frequent.

DOMS is lactic acid build-up in the muscles, frequent workouts of the various groups helps disperse the lactic acid, so absolutely, the more you go, the less severely it will occur and the less frequently - I do 4 full workout days, 2 "active rest" days, elliptical or biking, long walks, and one day of full on rest...healthy body keeps a fit mind, big help for me in managing stress and work related issues / problems, like a long shave, time to zone out and think, focus.

I normally alternate on and off days. Just frustrating that DOSMS can take you out for as lol ng as ypu left in the first place.

I went a bit longer than I should have today, but wanted to take advantage of the mountain air. Ran 12k at a bit over 7:00/km. I think I will be taking the last day of this vacation as a rest day, haven't done >10k in a while.

I've had flu for the past couple of weeks and haven't done much but managed an easy 7km trail run this morning. Going to take advantage of the public holiday here and go for a ride this afternoon. I need to get my cardio back up to some semblance of fitness.
