Another day, another run. Did 17,3Km's today.
The speed was more to my liking at 4.04.
Oddly, this was my fastest of the last six days.
I thought I should slowly decline during the olympics, but so far my speed seems to improve..
Must be inspired by all the gold medals the Norwegian athletes are getting in SochiBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 983Nothing today for me. Coming down with a cold. Resting up for a day or so to get over it ASAP.

Thanked: 68Still enjoying my walking.
35 km in the last 4 days. 68km so far this month.
My usual walk is a mix of bush track with lots of stairs, some gravel road and farm tracks.
I keep seeing another section of track on the map that I have never seen signposted.
Yesterday decided to go in search of it... apparently I failed. The line of markers I ended up following was one of a number of criss-crossing bait lines for possum poisoning/trapping. The "track" was virtually non-existent which involved bush-bashing and climbing some very steep terrain.
Looking at the map I am still tempted to go back and try and find the correct route.
Don't do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the paramedics!

I'm continuing on my 16K every day during the Olympics.
Had a couple hard days, but today was quite easy again. I guess not putting in 10 hours at work first helps a bit on the energy levels.
Averaged 4.08 per kilometer today, a total distance of 16,3Km.
This far in February I'm at 199Km and 12 runs.Bjoernar

Thanked: 485My last workout was a really intense bouldering session on Thursday night. I did a lot of traversing and then practiced hand moves. I got on the wall on really small footers and moved my hands from small crimp to small crimp repeatedly; leaving the feet static until I fell off the wall.
Yesterday i helped my son move out of his house as he's going overseas for three months. Moving fridges, wardrobes, etc etc counted in my book as a pretty good workout !Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 983Yesterday I took a different track for skating. The distance was 10km instead of 8km and flatter and smoother which meant more board time and less walking. I didn't like it too much though because being smooth and flat also made it popular for the lycra crowd and walkers. They were only really there on the return trip though, so If I got up 30 minutes earlier they might all just be getting out of bed instead of out and about.
Today I did a 25km cycle further along on the same path as yesterdays skate. It made me want to get fitter on the board to go further, because there are some beautiful areas along the Redcliffe foreshore that would be brilliant to skate and enjoy the sunrise. I'm planning on getting a special attachment to go on the bike rack to stow the board. That way I can ride to some more scenic areas, lock the bike up and skate for a few kay before returning to the bike and riding home again. Combining my two favourite modes of exercise and transportation. So far I've dropped about 15kgs of fat. Still have a long way to go, but I'm feeling fitter and stronger everyday.
