Very pleased to see you gave yourself knee protectors and a helmet Mick very sensible, you also put a slight belly on yourself, one things for sure If I ever came to Australia I would never mistake you for anyone else especially with three fingers and those super thin arms and legs.“Wherever you’re going never take an idiot with you, you can always find one when you get there.”

Thanked: 68Getting back into stride for my walking after a bit of break in January.
Up steps, across tracks, down farm paddocks.
15km in 2h 37m. about 5.7 kph as an average.
Cheese rolling - strangely enough New Zealand has a reasonable tradition here.
New Zealand’s most successful participant was Auckland’s Dionne Carter, who won the Ladies event in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
And ex-All Black Marc Ellis gained fame back in 2004 when he won the second race on the card.
On the topic of obscure sports... from Finland

I think I am starting to see some benefit from the exercise that I am doing, I am nowhere near my goal, but I am definately a bit slimmer, even with a couple of beers most nights.

Thanked: 9838 kay on the board and 12 kay on the bike today. The board was taken on early (0430) and was a bit on the gentle side. The bike was done about an hour after returning from that (I had a light breakfast of a banana smoothie and a cup of coffee in the interim) and was flat strap the whole way...Which for me is about 30 kph as an average.
