I figured as much.
Just some fun, to lighten the crappy day.

Well so far it has been raining off & on, some light, some a little heavier. The power went off about 3 times but came back on. I've had a lot of tornado warnings come on the cable. They say it's bad around Corpus Christi where it made landfall, a cat 4 hurricane with 130 mph sustained winds. That's way more than Ike. Ike was only a cat 2 hurricane. Us Texans are used to it. I remember years ago when Alicia hit & that was when I was building my first Harley in an apartment bedroom. A friend & I had a 2 bar apartment we lost power & he said, how are we going to eat & I opened the sliding patio door & broke out the Coleman camp stove & cooked breakfast. I know one thing, I wouldn't want to be stuffed in a vehicle stuck in traffic like people did when Ike hit. We had a lot of Katrina transplants here at the time. Every other license plate said Louisiana on it. My best bud just called & said,"well it's ob=ver" & I said don't count on it, it hasn't made it here yet!
Best wishes and prayers for our brothers in Texas. Stay safe Gentleman.
So where should bone scales be for thickness? I made a set a long while ago and I am finally getting back to them, they are just about .108" thick. My concern lies in, when pinned they held the blade open anything prior to 90 degrees and any thing after 180. But while stropping this blade it was loosey goosey. Made stropping almost impossible.
I took this apart, removed the thrust washers originally with this blade and lightened the brass wedge because it was super heavy. Before I go back together if they need thinned I'll do it. I guess I'm a bit confused, the horn scales I made seem just fine, tight all around. There seems to be so little flex in these bone scales. Any insight fellas? Thanks a million.
