Nahhh--You grind them into dust then mix in a glue of sorts and then pour the mixture into a mold that has lines in so it looks like it did originally.:roflmao:rofl2::wQuote:

Found this cool old read regarding some ivory manipulating techniques.
Love that they actually recorded the s.g. of the acid. You could actually replicate their ratio..and I may try on some bone now..
