The work you guys put in for the giveaways is astounding! I need to work on my efficiency!

Mike, those are gunna be some stellar strops!

Took some time between cleaning the house and shovelling an asinine amount of snow to pull 3 razors apart. This one below, the dubl duck dwarf and my Bartmann. The Bartmann was cleaned and repinned by me, but I kinda fudged up a bit.

Nothing-sadly, nothing. Fellas, the 3-month marathon before my seniors' AP exams I push myself (and them) all the way to the stops, and it can get stressful on all of us. We needed a break from each other, so I took a personal day today. I got out a couple of razors to work on, and never even mustered up the gumption to go out in the shop (and that's with a highly anticipated 2nd build from the English walnut blank I had on the bench with a big ole Sheffield!). I haven't even stropped a razor, even shaved with my FatBoy instead of a straight-on my day off!

I haven't even checked my work e-mail (which I dread after a day off). You guys ever do that? I haven't taken a real day off from the world in years; it's been nice, even without razors. I'll pay for it tomorrow.

I know how you feel, SHD. Burn the candle at both ends long enough there’s nothing left to burn. I feel like crap if I do nothing productive but sometimes that’s all I’m good for. I had been working on the house since we bought it. Ripped out 3 bathrooms mostly put back together 2. Tore the roof off and reframed most of it because of rot then reroofed it, replaced a couple windows and siding, lots off paint. Finally got sick from all the work whether it was at home or on the job. I have done nothing to the house in 3 months. I just can’t. Luckily I have razors to fall back on and occupy myself. I can pick them up and put them down at my leisure. The house otoh, if I start something I need to finish it for the most part. The next project is the master bath which is currently mostly framed but once I get going it will probably take me 4 months with the kind of time I can dedicate to it.

Well, it wasn't a total loss. I finally went out to the shop around 3, rough-shaped a brass-lined wedge that I had epoxied about a week ago for my next walnut rescale, and tweaked the finish on my last one with a few coats of RenWax and some buffing, and called it a day.

Pretty low key. I finally succumbed to the voices and checked my work e-mail too-bad idea. I keep checking the box for my ZuluGrey that I ordered a couple months ago-probably come after I've forgotten about it for my next hone infatuation lol.

I had one more Razor for the giveaway that needed scales. So I've been working on it today. It's ready for the hones now. Hope you like. One of our fine members sent me the material for the scales.

I would have liked to bevel the edges of the scales, but the colorful material is so thin before to white layer that I had to hold off. Or it would have had a white line around the edges. Still a nice difference. And you were right. Enough for 4.

Jerry, that razor looks mighty good just the way it is. I really like how the colors envelope each other, especially where the scales meet up with the wedge. Well Done!

It honed up a treat on the 20k. Great shave test. But now I think I will put in on the Jnat next weekend. Why not.
