That's a faucet head in there? Thought Andrew made himself an easy grip adjustment for his slim, like the new easy open bottles of Tylenol I ve been chewing this week. Heheh.

Honestly, forgot how physically taxing it is to lay tile after a few days at it. Throw in the cottage opening, and round trip to Ottawa last weekend, and zero success in the 15 antique stores I hit along the various routes travelled,,, been a busy week off. Need a vacation to get over this ,, vacation..

Cleaning up my work space. It tends to become a dumping ground for anything the wife thinks shouldn't be in the house

Seems like a lot of antique stores are dry these days. Maybe getting to where the wild razors aren't as abundant as they use to be.

16 years working for a general contractor and I've never laid tile. Always wanted to but never had the opportunity. Your pic you posted shows very nice work. You always seem to amaze me Mike!! A man of many, many talents.

I've got an old kitchen fork that was my aunt's and the wooden handle has been broken ever since I got it when she passed away.

I finally decided to do something with it and since I had some of the acrylic from Woodturningz I decided to try to make new handles with it. I'm trying to reuse the cutlery rivets but of course the last one decided to be a beastard to remove.

I've got it soaking in some baking powder water to try to loosen the corrosion, then it's time for some liquid wrench soaking.

The acrylic is the Molten Metal design that wallyeyeman used to make my brush handle with. 'IF' I can pull the project off it should be quite handsome.

Well I finally got the male part of the cutlery rivet out and I 'thought' the hard part was done. WRONG!

It's hard to see but the hole closest to the forks is smaller than the middle hole. A 3/16" drill bit will slide into the middle hole but is a no go in the one by the forks.

As you can see I was trying all kinds of things to get it out. When the male end was driven in it had swelled the female in pretty tight.

This is how I finally got the little bugger out: The steel actually shaved a minuet bit of brass off but I think it can be reused.

It doesn't show in the first picture but I've got the exposed SS looking like new. I'm not going to get anal about polishing it as once it's back in service it'll get banged and clanged around both in use and in the dishwasher.

Here's a better pic of the fork cleaned up:
