Hi guys , been working on a Joseph Rodgers razor today, a tad over 7/8"
scales were unfortunately too far gone
a true wedge , hoped it wld be a pre 1891...
after dismantling 'England' showed up, so post 1891
the seller ( I bought a canvas khaki pouch containing 4 items) , told me they were all WW1 items he found in the "Diksmuide/Passendale' area , most likely
owned by a British officer ?[ATTACH=CONFIG]292132
cleaned the metal - no hone wear - progression 320 / 500 / 600 / 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 3000 / 6000
will throw it on the hones tomorrow
here's the pics
cheers BartI was tryin' to figure out which is worse, ignorance or apathy...Then I realized I don't know and I don't care...

Looks like filler material to me. Something to keep to grind up for filler. Not fix. But Mike does crazy stuff.
It's just Sharpening, right?
