Brass tube would work I bet.
I just used the top of a bic pen innards. The area above where the ink is in that little tube. Fit over the brass pin like a glove and has a fat enough wall to hold against the compression when I drew in the pivot end tight.
Collarless pin because the ones I've seen were done either collarless or with the tiniest collars I've ever seen. Just looks better to me..
Good to know they can withstand s thinner profile Mike. There's a knot swirl on these down at the wedge end and. Just didn't wanna risk it..

I began working on this Adoration which I recently got - it's been suffering from cell rot. I thought I'd give it a go at saving it's life. I happened to have a chunk of acrylic pen blank that is near the same color that was just waiting for a project.

I can get two sets of scales out of a chunk like this

Cut with a coping saw then later clamped in a paper/glue sandwich

Cleaned up the blade a little. Not going too far with it, being careful with the thin hollow grind. A little polish and fine tuning left to do on it. Got the inlay and wedge out of the old scales to use again.

Going to be hard to find time to work on it, got a lot going on. But a little at a time and when I get the chance it's nice to settle into a razor project, take a short break from everything else, and continue working.

That material is a nice match.

These would help the man who owns the blade.
So what's your measurements, pin to pin. 4 1/2 " or 4 5/8".

That's what we do..help each other out when we can. It was gifted to me for a shorty project, so I couldn't use the scales. Said then, they go to the first guy who needs a set.

I just got the second set a few months ago, but their 4 5/8" from pin to pin.

So the others are yours my friend.
