Thanked: 4827Dust collection is very important in any wood shop. Mine is outfitted with a 5hp cyclone with hepa filters. It is probably over kill. I do have a small unit that I used to used on job sites that I am planning to put under the bench that my buffer sits on. A couple of tiny trailer fenders will be perfect for my hoods, that dust will be directly vented outside. I also have an air cleaner. There is a lot of pacific yew and cedars that go through my shop. I can't help but think that the lack of safety equipment in my early days raises my risks a lot. We should not take unnecessary risks with our lungs, we kind of need them.

Thanked: 4206While I savoured an amazing push by our Blue Jay's, sorry Tom and Steve.. I was getting more done on the wedge.
Used a pen inner ink tube for my spacer, oversized the amber to take the increased dia and the 1/16 rod fit's inside perfectly. Sanded it to the tright thickness on the end of a toothpick. Worked the charm on the belt sander.
Almost time for the moment of truth or shattered dreams, hehe. Just like Texas...
just kiddin about the team, it was a good series..

That's good thinking, Mike! Should work a treat!
Being a Houston sports fan is always the same. We are used to it. At least the Astros have greatly improved. Texans....Notsomuch!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Hi guys. I'm still feeling like crap. I thought I was starting to feel better on the weekend but didn't brag & glad I didn't. Monday round 2 hit me & I'm back where I started. I heard there was a stomach bug going around. I haven't felt like doing anything but do some research until I feel better.
I got my broken up John Barber today & it will be a challenge but I think it will work to make a double ground kami out of it. I have an original Kamisori & compared edges. They seem to be around the same length. If nothing else, I got a different W. Greaves coffin I don't have. I also ended up with a nice set of vintage horn scales that should be perfect for a CT Bingham, Late F Fenney heavy wedge blade I have that has a very nice etching on it. BTW that isn't rust on my Kamisori either. it is also very sharp. Why not take an old broken John Barber & make 'er a working razor again..............
