Thanked: 4206Nice job on that bevel Tom, looks wonderfully straight. I need to get better at shaping the initial line on my bigger blade restores. Still struggle with that tight starter bevel. Maybe why I like hollow grinds so much, hide all my stone weaknesses..
Regarding the swordplay, had no idea it never received fair use before the rot. Makes it all the more important to bring it back right and proper.
just need to use my wire wheel to clean up all that shiny gold wash on the blade."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4206Well, found a couple of new challenges on this inlay project.
First, getting a clean image of a gold item into black and white, or clean grey scale was a trick.
Secondly, turning the scale sideways makes plotting your references much more challenging.
Thought I had it so I ran the scale through the etcher.
And I don't like the placement on the scale. Think I need to grid the scale lightly so I can get some proper references.
Ah well, maybe I can sand these down past the etch and reshape, otherwise, a few fresh slices of polyester and start over."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."
