Thanked: 13245Some hints
This is on e-bay right now
VINTAGE DUBL DUCK GOLDEDGE STRAIGHT RAZOR | eBay
and a pic for later...
As I am posting this there are 12 bids and the money is low, we assume that the bids are for the scales smart right ???
Some hints here on DD's
The more Yellow the scales are the worse the Celluloid degradation is, these scales are actually White when they are new..
Look close at the "Razor" note that there is no/little hone wear on the spine?? and the Gold hasn't been worn off the tang ?? that shows very little use..
IMHO this is a razor that has Cell Rot so spending money on the scales might not only be a waste of that money it might be a waste of the GE that you are planning on putting in there
Just some more things to look for

This seems like the best "Auction" thread to post this in, so I just want to warn some of the newer members and those who may not be hip to this, but a curious Wade & Butcher meat chopper razor is back on the bay. The seller doesn't even bother to change the photos with each time he lists this razor. For those not keeping count or who may be just interested, the last time this was on the bay, the seller canceled the auction, the time before that, the razor "sold" for over $400 with the "buyer" and seller leaving each other postive feedback. It has been listed and sold a few times before that as well. Put it your "Watch List" for the entertainment value of watching a bidding war that seems to always occur is small increments just trying to get the real uninformed buyer to bid alittle bit more . Very curious indeed.

I don't know if this seller is really stupid or very dishonest.
This is the description.
There are no knicks or cracks on the blade anywhere. There is some patina on the blade that can be removed once it's cleaned up and polished. I'll let someone who knows how to do it handle it. There is a small little "knick" by "can opener" part of the blade that looks more like it was manufactured that way.
This is the razor
Who would have thought that you can open can and shave with the same blade.Last edited by johnmrson; 06-06-2012 at 06:24 AM.

You know what really burns me about some of the sellers on eBay. Grossly inadequate item descriptions and out of focus and grainy item pictures.

Thanked: 480Recent auction. Nice looking Robeson. Until you catch the color change on one side. While I have seen "patina" that has a blue color to it, this looks more like overheated on the buffer.
