It's been a couple of weeks and i'm getting good shaves off one of them with the hone, but the other needs some work. The hone is super fine and it took me a long time to hone it up, but that may be my own inexperience. I have a norton on it's way.
The stone works better with water i find.

Recieved my razor a few weeks ago and finally got around to honing it 2 nights ago. I have to say that this is one of the best shaves I've ever had. I don't typically like blades smaller than 5/8 but this one is awesome! All I did was hit it on a Norton 8k, Belgian Coticule, then about 20 trips on the Escher and it was very ready.
Although I still can't spell it, it's a great shaver! By far the best shave for your dollar out there.

Thanked: 79I'm very hapy with mine as well. Shaves on par with some of my blades with much better known pedigrees. In fact, better than most of them. A great deal.

I honed out the nick on mine on the 1k, so it's ready to get going on the Norton tomorrow with the two for sale pieces that I'm getting ready. I'll post an update as soon as I do a shave-test on it.

I honed up my second one of these last night for a buddy who's buying it off me. Yet again it honed up really easily, and shaves at least as well as anything else I own - including the exotica.
These are superb razors, and great value!

My Wapienica arrived last week. It's in pretty nice shape, although the scales were slightly bent. (Wavy might be a better description.) This didn't happen in transit; I'm thinking it might be a "feature" of the manufacturing process.
Seems like a decent razor, especially for the price. You could spend more on an eBay special that turns out to be junk--been there, done that.
The scales aren't quite my cup of tea, so I think I'll probably end up honing it up and posting it in the FS forum for the original cost + a few bucks for my time...

I'll finish mine on the Norton and chances are that I will keep her as a dark-side twin to my TEW French point oblique wedge as the TEW is finished in satin and so are its intended scales.

Josh, if I were you, I'd shave with it before deciding to sell it. I've never had a more comfortable shave with anything, including W&B's, Friodurs, Revisors etc. The only way mine's leaving my bathroom is if I move house.
