Thanked: 5Well, I jumped on the bandwagon after reading through all 24 pages of posts with nary a bad word said. Picked up one straight and the last combination strop/hone package. Cost me $28 CND. How can you go wrong! I'm kinda kicking myself for not ordering at least one or two more razors and save on shipping costs, but if the thing is as good as ppl are saying when I get it, I'll pick up another if they are still available by then. Can't wait to get this thing! I'm just giddy!

Thanked: 0Hmm, quick question. I want to order different items from the seller and save on shipping and I'm a little confused.
For his strop here: http://cgi.ebay.com/straight-razor-s...QQcmdZViewItem
It says immediate payment required so it doesn't look like I can combine shipping?
Can someone help me make sense of this?
Thanks,
f/R

Thanked: 79When you click pay now, it gives you an option to go back and continue shopping. Instead of going through with the sale, click "request total from seller"
He was able to discount shipping for me, that way.

Thanked: 5It seemed to do it automatically for me. I bought two items and paid 25.00 PLN for S/H when bought separately woulda been faced with 38.00 PLN for S/H

Before using this strop, check that the leather is the right way round. Mine had the nice side of the leather backed onto the linen side. It was ok for me 'cause I was only ever looking for one to cut up to make into a paddle.

Thanked: 1How can you tell which is the right side.

As far as I understood, the right side is the smooth side.
The non-stropping side of a strop is usually coarser.
The difference should be pretty obvious to spot by just feeling the leather on both sides.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 79So far I've only tried the plain leather version originally offered, no issues with it at all. I have ordered the leather/linen version, however, so now I'm curious as to if it will arrive "inside out" like yours did.
Otherwise, what are your thoughts on it? I'm not too worried, at 10 bucks + shipping I'll get at LEAST what I paid for, and based on the other stuff I've gotten from him, probably more. Couldn't be happier with the razors, hones and strops I have ordered so far, especially considering how little they cost.
