When I was in the plant this weekend covering for one of my supervisors we had a heater box issue on one of the filling lines. Multiple cracks around the edges and it seems none of my tradesmen were comfortable performing the TIG welding repair it needed. So, I gave it a go. Been 10 years since my last time on the stick, but had to be done. So long story short, got er done and figured since I needed 'practice' I made this S.S. cradle up to go with the rubberset.

Need to polish it still, but it'll keep it dry for you Andrew.

Very nice stand. I just made one similar out of some 3/16 square copper wire from an old power plant generator.

Great package arrived - beautiful brush and stand and a lovely pen - awesome Mike and thank-you very much!

Tom - awesome Texas Snurfler - I gave my wife back her small ornamental spoon - going to try it tonight with some cream - which brings me to the brush.

Much floppier brush for sure - lacks the backbone to really bite into hard soap - but that was first use. Used the brush my normal way by soaking completely and got the result I expected - not great performance.

Tonight's shave is going to only wetting the tips, may use a hard soap again, but think this brush will shine with creams. Gorgeous vintage piece without a doubt, and did feel great on the face. For softness, could easily sit beside any badger.

Regardless where this brush ends up in my rotation (if at all) I won't be replacing the knot - clearly it is from a bygone era and is functionally perfect. Thinking this brush was meant to use with lather from a machine, or a lather that could be easily "whipped" up using a stellar shaving cream.

This brush I can tell would be stellar with a Texas Snurdler and some T&H Trafalgar or 1805 and that may well be the plan for tonight -
