I'm still using my Finest and after 90 days it's still performing superbly. Going to order a couple more based on this one.

I have a Fine Badger that I have been using for about two weeks now. It lost one hair during the first use and none since. I like everything about it better than my Rooney that cost about three times as much.

Thanked: 0Received my Finest Badger Hair in Butterscotch the other day.
£12 delivered and only took about 2 weeks to get here.
To be honest I have been holding off buying one of the more expensive Kent/Simpson brushes as i did not think the badger hair would make to much of a difference in feel. How wrong I could be.
It was a lot softer to the touch.
Impressed with the quality of the Frank brush so far and has only lost a hair, I intend to purchase one of the Silvertip brushes soon.

Got mine yesterday. Finest badger. Very soft. Wish it had a little more backbone. still not bad. I love it and cant beat the price.
How are the high end Franks. More backbone?

I have the new Frank Shaving Silvertip with the shorter loft. I will say that for my tastes, it is a little too soft with very little backbone. I guess this would be the case with most silvertips though. I am very happy with my Frank brush and will continue to use it in my rotation, I just prefer the backbone and feel of my new forest 2201 and my shavemac 21mm. A Silvertip for under $30 cannot be beat though.
From what I have read, if you think the "Finest" is too soft, I would guess that the "higher end" Frank brushes will only be softer.
Someone who owns both might be better qualified to answer this.

My understanding is that the lower end brushes would have more "backbone" or stiffness.
I will report back when I get my next one in the next few weeks.

Having both the Finest and Silvertip Frank brushes IMHO the Finest is by far the better all round brush. It is also a fair bit cheaper.

Just got my Frank finest badger brush today. I picked up mine from star shaving a small outfit in Oklahoma, It arrived in 3 days. I went with finest because I like a stiffer brush. From what Ron had told me about the stiffness of the frank brushes I went with the finest badger over the silvertip plus its a lot cheaper.
My first shave this afternoon with the brush was great. It was much better than the boar brush I was using for the past few months. I think I will have to pick up another in the ivory color.
These are great brushes for the money I cant see how you can go wrong.
