It’s alarming how loud I need to crank up the stereo in the car to drown out my thoughts after work these days..

    Happily, it actually works.

But Mike, everyone knows that you just have to put on the Top Ten station and try not to end your trip before arriving home... Duhhh!
    Works every time!

However today I wasn't quick enough.

At first I just laid him to rest to go to that great unknown but while he never said so, I'll be donating any parts that can be used by others.

If only his switch would have stayed 'off' he'd still be here with me.

While it might seem cruel to some, I've already made arrangements for his replacement. I"m sure he'll understand.

I 'd taken my oldest daughter the Christmas Present for the family today--See Here:

Anyway my grandson was tormenting his older sister and my daughter told him to knock it off. As soon as she turned back to speak with me he did it again and I said "I otta Pop You, you little S**t! My daughter turned to see him just smiling and then looked at me and said "Go Ahead".

So I stated walking toward him and he was backing up grinning not knowing that Granddad meant business. I finally got him cornered and asked him if he'd ever seen the TV show NCIS and he said no so I said, well you are going to get a 'Gibbs Slap' and I popped him on the back of his head.

    He wasn't smiling anymore.

Then my daughter said "Perfect Dad; His Great Granddad would have warmed his butt"!

Here's a 'Gibbs Slap' for ya

Three things I have learned today...
    1) apparently bacon is not the only thing you should NOT cook when naked! Chicken is a real Mother F.er!
    2) do not keep ground cumin next to ground cinnamon on the spice rack! Cumin tastes like sh*t in rice pudding!
    3) when a woman is driving down a one way street the wrong way DO NOT call her sweat-heart! just stick to the traditional "Your going the wrong way as**ole!" they are much more receptive to that.
    Actual conversation I had today...
me: Umm... your going the wrong way sweat heart!!!
sweatheart: im not your sweat heart!!!
me: ok... then how's about this, YOUR GOING THE WRONG WAY AS**OLE!!!
sweatheart: smiles and say "ok, thanks"

    gotta love Monday's...

On my Friday a few of us Gas Haulers were standing around at the loading facility talking about how long we have been hauling gas, how long we'd been driving and our ages. I was not the longest or oldest but the odd thing was someone told me I look good for my age.

That was a first for me. Ive never been told that before. Now i wonder if he was just being nice. Ive always thought I looked my age and in the last couple years ive noticed the neck skin getting saggy. It thru me off to the point i took a few seconds to say thanks.
