You and I are on the same page. That's all I can say about that. The only thing I will add is that in our society today those who preach tolerance are some of the most intolerant people that I have ever met in my life.
You seem to be wise beyond your years, good luck to you.

Thanked: 44I think we have a bigger problem than most EU countries though, I know all have a problem of some sort. There must be a very good reason though for them to travel right through Europe and then que up in France to risk their lives traveling to Britain on a lorry Axel!
I do have a funny story about cheating the system though (well it would be funny if it wasn't so serious). A few months back I was in the town and I sat down on a bench to have a sarnie.
Across the road was a job centre (which also acts as a benefit claim centre). Outside were a fairly large group of foreigners, I'm not sure where they were from, I have a good idea but its not important. Anyway in this group were two childeren , I'd say about 4 years old.
What happens was a couple would go in with the two kids and come out about ten mins later. Fair enough you might say, nothing unusual about that, its what happened next that made me both laugh and dispere at the same time.
Once the kids were out a new set of clothing was pulled from a bag. The kids were changed and a new couple took the kids in. This happened three times while I was watching. I have no idea what exactly they were up to but whatever it was it was dodgey lol

Truthfully... My list was short because I was trying to just touch on a few things. I think I would have been better off steering clear if what I don't want to see and just talking about what I do want to see.
I would prefer, but am comfortable in the world as it is, a world in which people remained true to the calling(religious, cosmic, philosophical, insert preferred belief here). If we all knew who we were made to be from birth AND were confident, secure, and content in that calling, I think there would be LESS self-harming behavior and there would be LESS reason for us to strive to be someone or something other than what we are.
Phrank when I said drugs I was more in the mindset of heroin cocaine methamphetamine and the like.
I have a very mixed opinion of alcohol and marijuana as well as prescription narcotics.
Alcohol- I personally choose not to drink. I don't care if others do but prefer it not around me.
Marijuana- I personally choose not to smoke it. I don't want it around me. But as a teen I tried it. I even understand the appeal. Its no worse than drinking to me.
Prescription narcotics- I've broken bones and torn muscles, I can understand these can have a place in medicine. For me I try to avoid taking them unless I've exhausted every other means of pain relief I have available to me.
Hope this answers your question. And I hope I didn't leave any open ended points for others to jump on.

Some have describe very ideal worlds we would love to live in!
One thing I know is that it start with the man in the mirror.
When I look in the mirror and I don't like what I see, the selfishness, the greed, the un compassion, or any thing that doesn't make this world a better place, I ask and seek wisdom and conviction from a higher power. I do this every day of my life. The person I didn't like when I saw my self in the mirror start to die and the person I see that I like, is not me!
And this is how I believe, I'm helping to shape a better world to live in!

Wouldn't work here. We have quite good system to prevent cheating. Off course, as long as there's pig holes, there will be cheaters as well, both immigrants but even more natives. But it's the incomplete or faulty system that makes it easy to cheat.
There are maybe different kind of problems in different EU countries but from where i speak, foreigners aren't the biggest problem or problem at all. In fact this country would stop if there were no immigrants. It our job to put them to work as soon as possible. There are still occupations we just have no enough work force. Off course there's unemployment with some other professionals but the problem is mostly regional.
From the provinces where is no work people (well, most of them) aren't willing to find out if there's any changes to generate new business or professions without expecting state to pay about everything for them. At the same time provinces here in the south are in troubles as there is no enough work force.
The world keeps changing (like it has always been doing). Some professions that used to hire a lot of folks will get to minimum in the future. New professions will rise, sooner or later.
If this country is about to go bankrupt someday, it is not the fault of other countries but solely for our own stupidity. Right now it seems that we are doung relatively well. Comparing to those depressions in say 1991-93, 1960-70 and 1905-1920 this has been like a kinderkarden play. We have pretty good proofs to show how to mess up our own things without any foreign help. But wouldn't been possible to get back on our feet again without any help from other countries. Co-operation and teamwork is the name; can't play the game if we only want to gain from others without paying the costs as well.Last edited by Sailor; 06-28-2014 at 04:21 PM.
