Yep, that's why the garage is my area. It's sometimes hard to tell the trash from the valuables !

Thanked: 4207Where do you post a pandemic driven self isolated, tired of looking like a hippy self haircut,,
Well if you think you didn’t f-$k it right up here is my thinking...
Hear it’s another 2 months before the barbers open, by then I’ll be due again anyway.
Feels better at least..

Looks good to me Mike. Remember if you decide you don't want people to see it------there's always the ball cap trick---
My brother who passed away last year hadn't been to a barber in probably 30 years. He had purchased a set of clippers with the various 'guards' that set how high or low the clippers cut and cut his own hair.
He also used those clippers to keep his beard trimmed. He did a decent job.

been cutting my own hair for at least 10 years. Going bald anyway so i just grab the #3 guard and buzz away. Even figured out how to do my own neck and back of head. I just hold my hand at the spot were the skull meets the neck and clip up to that point.
I don't think your hair looks that bad Mike, as the say, the only difference between a good hair cut and a bad haircut is about two weeks.

Thanked: 4828Two weeks! My hair doesn’t grow that fast anymore. I think 85% of us over 40 are at some point in the balding proccess.

Every once in awhile I need a vice. Nothing heavy duty just to hold things, do a bit of bending etc. I had a small one given to me years ago and it worked OK but the jaws were only 2 1/2" wide. The new one has 4" wide jaws and also pipe jaws which the old vice didn't.
I could have gone to Harbor Freight and used the 20% off to buy a new made by the C. H. Ina Company but I wanted something vintage so I headed to FleaBay.
I got it installed this morning and I'm pleased.
The seller had done an outstanding job of cleaning it up and painting but I couldn't just leave things alone. I took it apart and used my table top belt sander to flatten and smooth the areas where the base and vice rotate and added some 'Arts and Farts Paint' to some of the lettering.
I really like how smoothly it rotates. I'm glad I smooth the rough casting up.Last edited by cudarunner; 05-26-2020 at 12:38 AM.
