Great lookng hammer Roy, nice save indeed! Terrific little panel hammer, jealous as I could put that to work these days.

Got all my roots out of the way thanks to my lift and chain technique and started to relocate flagstone to The area.

Still need to fill the spaces between the stones. Thinking either sand or pea gravel as ultimately I want to transplant moss as the grout. Figure moss will soften the contrast between the new interlock and the more natural flagstone along the transition edge.
Gained about 16x13 worth of deck area to boot.

Looks good Mike. I do like the look of Moss in between rock. Much more natural.

I too like the look of the flagstone. I think it compliments the pavers nicely as is meanders into the foliage. There are a ton of plants that you can put in there to grow in the cracks. I would ask at your local nursery to see what’s available and recommended for your area.

I remember reading about mixing moss and buttermilk I think in a blender, and you could pour or paint the resulting "milkshake" on surfaces to grow moss on them. Maybe this method would help create the moss between the flagstone?

Only down side to moss is it can be slippery under foot. But I don’t tend to run as much as I used to so should be fine..

Stay-cations with the pandemic have me juggling priorities and seizing the good weather while I can.
Have a special job chucked up on the lathe that I whittle away at when it’s raining as well.
