Yesterday was my Sunday so i mowed the yards. Then decided that the ramp into my shed was getting a little rotted. Ok it was a little rotted 2 years ago and needed replaced back then.
I dug thru my lumber rack and found a bunch of 2x4s i kept from another job. Here is the end product. Its so stout now i could put a riding mower in the shed. I even told the wife that. She said NO.

    Dammit!

You should have just put the mower in there and kept your mouth shut-------------never bother a sleeping dog--

Your ramp does look very nice and sturdy

BTW, I built the shad and the retaining wall too. But that was a few years back. I did remind the wife that if my back keeps acting up like it has this year a riding mower will be in my future. And at a quick glace it looks like a 3 grand investment for something good. Thats a lot of greenbacks for a mower.

Nice work Jerry. You could always get someone to mow it for you but where's the.fun in that?

That retainer, and shed are a great addition to the yard Jerry. Looks super.
Yard clean up ongoing up here as well.
Rebuild my west side slope to the neighbors last weekend and this weekend digging holes for 50 cedars being installed next week on said slope.
Want the privacy and soil retention those can offer along that side of the property.
Tired of the amount of water that saturates my yard and sump system when the rains are heavy.
Back yard is almost, finally completed.

So I got a new van for the business. The old one is a 2002 with 330,000 miles so, as much as I'll miss her, I have to take her out to the back pasture and give her a proper burial. I was putting a headliner and body panels inside so I had to take the barracade out to get it in. It got late so I put the pieces in the garage. But I got stupid from the late hour and left a piece lying in the yard. When I came out in the morning someone had stolen the panel behind the driver's seat and the top mount panel. Damn scrap people!!! So I checked the junkyards to no avail and then called the manufacturer. The 2 panels were going to be $300 but that's not even the kicker. Buying parts is 6 to 8 weeks. Or, I could get it in a week if I bought the whole partition for $400.
Sooooo...I decided to go to the welding shop and buy some 1" angle iron and a sheet of 14 ga sheet metal for $40 and weld up the panel myself.

I had some shelves left over so I cut the ceiling mount plate out of one of them.
