some years ago my weight was steady around 63kg (139lbs) for a height of 1m84 (6ft)
but then I got to know my girl and the "good life" started, dinners, restaurants... and so now I'm hanging in at 73 kg (161lbs)
i do run a lot of miles every week though, so it's not likely to get any higher...

Thanked: 3Yeah, I know BMI is a bad system. But that's all I have available at the time. I plan on getting a special scale. Unfortunately I don't know what it's called. It effectively measures how much fat you have by sending electrical pulses through you. With fat, the electricity flows slower. However if you have more muscles, there's a good percent of water (~70%), so it should flow faster. From this it just uses the time it takes for the electrical pulses or whatever to flow through you. It then can calculate how much fat you have.
I should have a pretty low percentage of body fat. I'm among the skinniest person of all of my friends. One of my friends and I actually got into an argument of who was skinnier. I said he was, and he said I was. My waist size is 29 or 30 (29 fits better with casualwear, 30 fits better with formal wear). I've fallen off my bed before, and there's only a 4 inch gap between the bed and the wall where I fell.

Thanked: 9I don't really care about weight much, and eat whatever I feel like
Weight fluctuates too much, it's body fat % which is worrying me now...
So, at 5'10 I weighed:
- ~144 (w/ hydration variations, of course) when I was boxing
- Less than 140 when I was serious about running (waist size was 28)
- 166 when I did some tri training + weights: had a good six-pack and some decent muscle mass, with body fat about 9-11% with a 29-30 waist
Now I am 166 again, but have swapped a good 20 lbs of muscle for fat. No 6 pack to speak of, just barely visible lines and 32 waist. Getting back into active mode - gradually. I want to keep the weight, just get my muscle back. If I get a tad heavier in the process - it's ok. If I lose weight - not that bad either. As I said, it's not the weight I care about
Cheers

Right now I am 170 and too fat. I need to drop about 10# of fat. I'll probably manage it in the fall whenI stop doing all the outdoors stuff of the summer and get back to my winter workout (1hr a day, three times a week). What I really need is sit-ups, all the fat is around my waist. With regular whole body workouts though I'll drop the love handles and five pounds overall getting back to a slim 165.

Thanked: 9These scales are crap. The results are affected by the circumstances too much - if you drank, if you just worked out, some people just have different resistances... Long story short - don't trust them too much. Best to measure bf w/ special calipers, but it's a pain...
It doesn't matter what the bf is, really - just look at yourself in the mirror. If you like what you see - you're fine. If not - you gots work to do
Cheers

I'm at 5'7 and 188, a little on the plus size. When I graduated High School I weighed in at 115, but that was due to not wanting to ride the school bus, so I either walked or rode a bicycle. Now, I walk with a cane due to a bicycle accident (cursed bikes anyway
), so there's not much I can do other than watch my diet. The Dr did suggest water arobics, but it costs 4 bucks a session and that would take my razor money (I have my priorities straight
).
