Well I'm not that clever Mr Mark because I found out this morning they were filming last week on the building site that is literally at the bottom of my garden!!!!!!!!!!!
They were here for 4 nights between 11pm - 6am and I didn't have a clue. lol

Personally I'd rather not know what's planned. Spoils the surprise when it airs.
That's not a complaint about this thread of course! Same with any film or TV. Like someone telling you whodunnit five minutes before the Great Detective gets all the antagonists into the room for the revelation!

Gareth, trust me I would never reveal a true Spoiler. Like you I do prefer to wait and watch but passing on a tidbit now and again, I'm glad doesn't offend.

No problem Silver. I never thought you would! It's just I can't understand people wanting to find out in advance what happen. Just don't see that myself.
How's my home town of Cardiff getting on? Haven't been back for a few years now.

Caerdydd is good, expanding all the time it seems! And of couse we're all gearing up for the 6 Nations which starts tomorrow, even the local Asda is selling WRU shirts and accessories. In fact I'm even wearing my Grand Slam tee from 2008!! lol
You'll have to let me know if you ever come back for a visit, we could give you the guided tour to filming spots and all.

Well, in a little over an hour we get our first glimpse of the new doctor! Me, the wife and kids will be sitting down together to watch it just like when I was a nipper watching with mine, hiding behind the sofa too scared to watch, too engrossed to leave the room.
A young 20-y-o freaky looking actor will be playing the latest iteration of the timelord. Will he be a good 'un, or has David Tenant set the bar too high?
Dunno if there's IP control over this, but here's a very ungenerous teaser of the first 40 seconds of the opening scene.

I saw the new guy on Johnathon Ross last week and as soon as he spoke i dint like the guy. He seemed just like the typical drama school 'lovvie' type we get over here. I have taped the show but haven't watched it just yet.

I thought Matt Smith was good too. From what I had seen of the snippets I thought I was going to hate his portrayal of the Doctor, but I gotta say I think he did a good job. Different enough to make his own style, but still in character enough with the Tenant Doctor to make the transition smooth for the audience.
I thought the episode itself was poor. Too frantic. Too much going on. Too much running around and shouting.
But the teasers of what we have in store in future episodes looks very promising, so here's to the 11th doctor and the tradition of families sitting in front of the TV watching it together!
Oh, and for the Dads... the Doctor's new assistant is very cute.
