Dr Who is still popular down under, I like most spent most of my time watching it from behind the couch in the late 60s. Patrick troughton and John Pertwee were my original favourites. I have enjoyed all the new series very mutch, they seem to have enough nostalga for us old timers and the new approach has roped in a whole new generation of new fans.
Cheers and looking forward to the next series.Keep yo hoss well shod an yo powdah dry !

I downloaded the five episodes of "Children of Earth". Looks pretty good. I, too, was suffering from withdrawals.
BTW, I don't watch live TV. I download everything. Usually, I get most of the stuff before it's aired. I am currently downloading "Being Human" - another BBC great series. Pilot + 6 episodes. About an unlikely threesome living together: A vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost. The download will be finished today! I look forward to this one. (I could go on and on about British TV)

Steve you have good taste! Being Human is also a really good series, the guy who plays George the werewolf also played Alonzo the Ships deckhand in the Dr Who Voyage of the Damned (Titanic) special.
Aunty does like to recycle their actors! lol
I can confirm that filming of series 5 of Doctor Who is underway and they have, thankfully, given the young Matt a decent hair cut. lol The next Torchwood is due to start being written next week.
As of yet we don't have a release date for Waters of Mars over here, but I will keep eveyone posted as soon as I know.
And Doc, thare is nothing wrong with my new mutant camera phone, it's 8Mega pixles. The bad quality was due to being harrassed by a security bulldog, who's foot I then "accidently" ran over with Nim's pushchair while it was loaded down with shopping.

I'll watch if it's on but I have a friend who is obsessed. He built a TARDIS.

Thanked: 1I love Dr. Who & Torchwood. Silver I was at a Sci-Fi convention in 1987, in Columbus, GA when Patrick Troughton died. The guy in charge of the convention did the poorest job of announcing his death I've ever heard. I didn't get to meet Troughton that year for obvious reasons but I did get to meet The Master. He was awesome & I got my picture taken with him.
I started watching Dr. Who when Jon Pertwee was on. Loved Tom Baker & I love the scarf. I like David Tennant too & liked him in Harry Potter as Barty Crouch, Jr.
I love Torchwood!! That's soooo exciting you were able to meet John Barrowman. Was he nice? Were they all nice? Dragoncon is a convention coming up we're going to and Gareth David-Lloyd is going to be there. I hope he doesn't cancel between now & then. The con is Labor Day weekend. I can't wait I want his autograph.

Hey Bandit!
Yeah the Torchwood guys were really, really nice. Ianto is looking more yummy now he's stubbled up and grown out the hair a little.
There is a Bank Holiday looming over here in a few weeks and I have a sneaking suspicion that will be when Waters of Mars will be shown.
If you are interested in taking a look at who the new Doctors new assistant will be, here's the link - Karen Gillan
She played one of the Sisters of the Sibaline in Series 4, Fires of Pompeii. Also hot gossip is BBCAmerica have confirmed they have the next series of Dr Who, so that should make you happy Doc & Bandit!

Here is a pic of my buddy at Gencon a few years ago. His wife knitted the scarf. He says this is the Fourth Dr. Who.
