Thanked: 317
At the risk of dragging this hopelessly off topic, I think the distinction between the two, is that one was done in direct response to the actions of a specific person, the other was done like buck-shot to thousands of people, some of whom weren't even American citizens, and many of which did not support the policies of the US government which generated the anger.

Thanked: 1587I can see no issue with a man or woman who performs a legal abortion, or an illegal one, attending church on Sunday. If you believe abortion is "bad", then isn't this exactly the sort of person you would want to encourage into a Church? Or is Jesus only interested in the "good" people nowadays?
The very idea that this Doctor's attendance at a Church is questionable, or ironic, or hypocritical, is worrying based on my understanding of Christianity.

and the correct answers are .......
what's good for the goose IS good for the gander
women SHOULD keep their legs closed of deal with it
and last but not least
I find the types who say "Where is the harm in aborting what would just turn out to be a crack baby and grow up to be a criminal and blah blah..."
to be involved in the worst sort of classism.
The kind that involves murder.
Ok, a question.
Let's say for a minute that Mr Looneytoon been watching to much TV preacher guy (the church killer)
Let's say this guy gets himself a time machine.
bear with me here
Now he goes back and preforms and abortion on the preganant mother of the abortion clinic doctor.
Now did he commit murder?
Why not?
The fetus is the same person, just not developed.

Thanked: 402Aaaaw, come on!
Its fun when guys are wrecking their head about girls' business.
You know, its all for the f***ing cash.
As long as doctors get paid for things to fix instead of for to prevent things happening, this will happen all the time.
Nowadays they make plenty with restoring virginity.

Thanked: 586I think that referring to the victim as "the abortion doctor" may be a little short sighted. He was first a man his name is George Tiller. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a husband and a father and an obstetrician and a gynocologist. He ran a women's health clinic where many female patients received quality health care. Dr. George Tiller did raise his children and provide for his family and deliver many healthy babies into happy families to caring mothers.
I love my doctor. She helps me at some very bad times. If someone were to shoot her to death I would be lost. I would be hurt.

Well Said....that's my point. He was killed, cold blooded murder, by someone who proclaims to be against murder. I just find the whole thing Ironic and sad.....Your right, now a family has no Dad, or Grandfather, A wife somewhere has no husband. A man that served in the Military and made it home only to be killed by some idiot with a problem. That's sad....We have assumed control !

And that is the saddest part of this all. A Veteran, Husband and Father is gone, not for committing a crime, but for simply providing a service to people in need.
In following this story a bit more, I did find that someone made an interesting observation. This individual was of the Pro-Life belief but stated that every time someone either bombs a clinic or kills an individual in such a way, the platform is weakend and the individuals looked at in a tainted light.
