Again, it's a blog about an expedition. I actually decided to go to the expedition's website rather than take some blogger's word for it:
Drilling observations
“The drilling experiments I’m doing are showing the ice to be between 1.5 and 2 metres thick”, he told Independent Television News. This would ordinarily suggest that the ice is thick first year ice and as a consequence may not survive the next summer melt.
lol @ Al Gore comments. I guess when you can't support your argument it's best to start looking for irrelevant tangents.

Thanked: 259not so, i have seen no solid evidence of global warming and as i noted back a few posts scientific members dispute the whole theory(because that is all it is, a theory) since al gore is the one who puts his mug all over the place telling lies everyday, he is the one that is hurting the global warming cause.

Global warming itself is quite factual and not a theory. There might be theories as to why it happened, or how long until [insert resource here] is gone, but it's absolutely true that our planet's average temperature has increased since the '50s.
I said upthread that I do not care about Gore and have not seen his movie, so if you want to discuss this with me then bringing him up is irrelevant.

Thanked: 259i still submit that it is a cycle and will reverse as always.. if you look back at the weather data 1934 was one of the warmest years and we did not have nearly the CO2 emissions then as we do now. this planet will be here many, many years from now and so will man and everything will carry on as always.
new york and all the other coastal states will still be much as they are today.

Thanked: 431Getting warmer? It's doing nothing of the kind. It's not a theory, it's not even a bum guess, it's just a propagandist lie told by con men like Al Gore to rip off people who get scared by it.
