I think they should make the goal bigger,to score more goals. Hard to watch a 1-0 game but then again i dont get it,gooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!

If you are looking for ways to improve the game I would suggest making it full contact, like Australian Rules Football used to be. And also ban crying like a little girl to try to get a penelty kick.

funny most people complain that the net is so big and its too easy to score. Then again most of those people have never kicked a ball in their life.

I am a DC United and Team USA supporter. I also have Love for Cameroon and Germany. I won't go into who I hate. I see The usual crowd going far in 2010. Brazil, Spain, Italy, Germany, and perhaps France. Netherlands have a good squad, and so does England. It's going to be fun watching. Mostly, for me, is the enjoyment of watching certain players I follow, put it all out on the pitch.

Korea was a surprise today. I didn't think they would hold off brazil the way they did.

It will be interesting to see how they do in the rest of their matches

Indeed. That group has earned its Group of Death nickname. That goal by Maicon was a nearly-impossible angle!

Ronaldo almost had a nice strike in Portugal's match and then Drogba had a great opportunity at the end. Shame I was stuck at work.

Yeah, great couple of games in that group yesterday. Promises to be a very interesting one.

Maicon's goal is the subject of press hysteria here (as usual). Did he mean it? Was it a really just a failed attempt to cross? Did he look back a split second before he hit it to see who might receive it? His body shape and the angle with which he hit the ball (with the outside of the boot) suggests it was intended?

Maicon himself says he meant it 100%.

If it were an England player, I'd say it was a fluke 10 times out of 10. But this is a gifted Brazilian, and I wouldn't put it past any of them.

But, but.... Nathan, it's already the 'beautiful game'. It cannot be improved!

Anyone see the Slovakia/NZ game yesterday? Went and saw that one with a couple of guys from work, one of whom is a kiwi, at the Walkabout by Temple tube. That goal by NZ in the last minute was just awesome..!

Plus it was their first in a World Cup I believe. Good stuff!
