    Young Kookaburras come up and sit on the stair rail on top of our back steps
    Several generations have visited us over the past 10 years
    We also have young Magpies visit occasionally
    I feel really lucky to live this close to wildlife and they let us get this close to them with no fear of being hurt

    Sorry mate. I just couldn't resist what you Americans call a "yanking on yer chain". They can be quite friendly and will eat out of your hand if you get them used to you. No they won't take the hand with it...Unless of course you have fingers that look like snakes. Then you might be in trouble.

    Hey Nightblade, I should have got the camera but we had an 8 foot Diamond Python slinking it's way thru our yard yesterday.
    Very docile & people keep them as pets, so not everything here wants to bite,sting or eat you.
