    Default Assault weopen carnage agian?

A guy breaks a pile of old laws...and someone is suggesting MORE laws?

Sounds like a great idea considering how well the old ones are working

    News from The Associated Press

So it appears an obviously mentally unstable 20 year young man with a long history of mental issues murdered his mother, stole her guns, drove the stolen car to a "gun free" zone and killed a bunch of children and adults.

Am I mistaken or are there already laws on the books forbidding such behavior?

Must have been the GLOCK that made it happen. The las SIG that I owned was very mild mannered, however, I hear that GLOCKS are the epitome of evil.

The .223 hasn't even been identified yet even as a .223, there have been several different references so far, infact the count of people Killed is still changing.. in the last 20 minutes there is 26 and 28 being reported..

So far it seems like the Identity of the shooter has been verified, and two pistols is now even questionable at this time

But I agree if there is a gun at fault it must have been a Glock..

(we are making fun of the press not making light of the victims)

Isn't it something that the St.Valentine's Day Massacre made world wide headlines, had movies made about it, and now killing 7 guys in a garage wouldn't even make the front page.

Jim,maybe people today have far to much access to guns and ammo, just a thought.

Bat, club, cue stick, rock, knife, tire iron, wrench, hammer, spear, javelin, or arrow to name a few that quickly come to mind.

    Weopen used means nothing.
    I agree.

It might seem hard to believe but there is less access, because of all the gun laws since 1968 take a look at the stats on the shear volume of gun laws that were written before compared to after...

Glen is right. I bought several old milsurp rifles via mail order in the mid 60's. I think I bought my first one ( K98 for $18.95 that I wish I had now) when I was 12 years old. It's a wonder I didn't murder the whole world! Surplus WWII ammo was a penny a pop and shipped free if you bought $5.00 worth! I burned up a LOT of that stuff.

Oh, my parents were aware of my purchases and had no problems with them. I got my first .22 when I was 6 and my first shot gun when I was 8. Killed my first deer when I was 10.

If anyone wants to study up...I used to live in Bath, Michigan. It was the home of the largest terrorist attack on US soil until the Oaklahoma city bombing. As luck would have it, my sister was present in Oak city as a hospital worker down the street from ground zero.

These things are terrible, but it is not new now is it the fault of the tools used. I have no solutions, just observations.

I do believe that this world is changing and some of the fallout is people that have some very anti-social behavior. It is sad sad sad !

For anyone interested...this story from Bath is truly horrific...and old.

Have been to way to many gun shows, in way to many states and I have never seen that... Not even close but I have seen that on TV and in the Movies but I know that is fiction

Maybe you should call the cops and report it if you see it again though as it is against the Law

I didn't know about that Bath School disaster either. Terrible. Not as bad but made plenty of news in his day, remember "The Mad Bomber" ?
