The thing with this point is that people who own guns believe they help in defending themselves, when the majority of people who brandish Any weapon actually usually come to harm by their own weapon. Over 50%.

No amount of evidence will prove this to those who own/advocate guns. That was made clear during the last debate of this matter. I know there is evidence both ways BUT non violence is the best way imo.

I think there is a serious philosophical problem with the thinking in a lot of individuals who commit violent crime. This is not to offend, I also think this thinking is prevalent in America's in general. There is a belief that it's ok to take a life to protect yourself. I disagree and that's my opinion, people will disagree, and I say you are entitled to. If this way of thinking was changed I believe these horrific incidents would reduce in their frequency.
