Appreciate the tips on the paint as well.

That’s the wrong plastic for covering . You need the body shop plastic wrap . Because 9 times out of 10… when you spray primer or base on a panel and some of that paint gets on that plastic and flashes off….when you get on it with your other coats of paint…the gun air pressure will LIFT ALL KINDS OF PAINT SLIVERS OFF THAT PLASTIC ONTO YOUR FRESHLY PAINTED PANEL. Just throwing that out there….it makes a mess. The body shop plastic wrap is treated and overspray sticks to the plastic.

I would be cautious of the slippery nature of walking/working on wet plastic.

Great warning about the plastic Ness, thanks.
Never even considered it flaking back off during subsequent steps.
Worth investing in the right paint covering as every little thing can have an effect.
And appreciate the caution on slippery plastic as well but expect the grit of my flooring should still provide safe footprint. While painting there will be no hasty movements. .

So I spent tonight laying an additional roof covering, of the same think poly I got at work over the whole roof surface in between storms. Being white poly ya can’t even notice it up there but the water has completely stopped!
The tarp material was getting thin in spots and the hail tore up a lot of surface. This should buy me the time I need to lay primer and paint down.

I can give you a thanks but not a LIKE as this is a set back you didn't need. I recall a line from the movie the Outlaw Josie Wales when the Indian Chief told Josie what the Minister of the Interior told the Chiefs of the tribes when they went to Washington DC

"You must endeavour to persevere". And you my friend, will persevere.

Ya, I got home and saw half a tree worth of leaves in the pool but was happy the shed still stood. Insane winds for like 20 minutes with the hail. Then the rain came and all heard was the tink tink of water hitting steel. More and more, and in more places,, I was quite frantic last night. Wife actually gave me my first pour of bourbon. Hehe.
But clearer skies and heads prevailed today. Bit of poly, and bit more high speed white tape to bind it all down nice nice and good to go for the last big push..

So I’m reading my primer instructions and am not sure how to take this statement.

Allow 20 minutes to recoat with epoxy sealer again….

So does that mean do 2 coats 15 minutes apart, wait 20 minutes and do one more coat? Or is that an optional ‘as necessary’ thing. And then I have up to 48 hours to apply more primer without having to sand.
Maybe I’m too literal but that seems kinda vague to me..
