Mike, I think you could, and maybe should, start remanufacturing these cars once you're done.

Thanked: 4206Jumped ahead to check on overall fit of things, and damn I’m happy to see this profile again, even temporarily.
Everything fits into everything else, awesome. Sure I have to beat and stretch the wheel tubs to fit inside these pieces still, but using the outer fender as a guide, and form, I’ll be able to easily dial in the last bit of steel missing.
Then the replacement of the lip edge should also easily accomplished using the fender again as a guide.
Was worried about that detail but hoped this would be what I’d be able to do.
There will also be piping in this seam when the car is done, further hiding any sins along the edge.

Thanked: 4206Thanks gents.
Measure thrice on this project has been the safest bet. And leaving extra materials everywhere things meet or overlap has been key I think.
A fair bit of luck on my side during this build has helped as well.
Like to think I’ve been channeling the tradesmen of old’s mojo through my gnarled old Canadian mitts over the winter in my little shed of shivers..

Back when the world and I were young I watched a movie that had a saying, however for the life of me I can't recall what movie it was. With that said, I have tried to live my life from that movie's saying. The saying was; 'Practice the Six P's' and those P's were:
Proper
Planning
Prevents
Piss
Poor
Performance
I'm thinking that you must have seen that same movie--
Regardless, Very Nice Work! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I've been thinking that the is kind of like building a 5000-piece 3d jigsaw puzzle, but you have to make all your own pieces.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
