Thanked: 4206I was counter teasing John, totally knew you were joshing
But my plan was always to do my best, in house, but if I didn’t love the results, a pro would be able to repaint it later, and easier than I did.
I still don’t know if I’ll like the 2 tone paint scheme etc..
can’t wait to find out though."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4826I have complete faith that the two tone paint is going to be awesome.

I always say it looks great from a running horse!
I dislike perfect things. Probably because I am lazy!

About it, Gooner. I AM a stickler on how they work. Everything must work properly.
It's just aesthetic little things which I can live with up until someone asks me WTF?
I do like things authentic. Appreciate some wear and bites. Makes me interested.
Sanitary and absolute perfection in an old car amazes me.
I just like some dried mud in the fenderwells.Last edited by sharptonn; 06-05-2022 at 01:51 AM.

Thanked: 4206I’m sort of in the same camp as Tom I think. Mechanical perfection, or accuracy of function is more important to me than esthetics. Everything needs to work and fit true to intent. Paint gets faded, scratched, and replaced.
I’m putting some of the little details in now, adjustable fuel regulator, in yellow, new blue vacuum line to the intake manifold connected now for the booster and black fuel lines ran to both carbs @ equal lengths from tee.
New Fuel pump installed and tested, much quieter that the former, and the final connection from filter to pump is the last remainder there.
Fenders going back on this weekend, and maybe I’ll be starting her up in the next week or so!"Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

A Red Horn ? You got a lot of colors going on in there…must be a French thing.. Here in the States …every thing is black….so your eye is drawn the engine and looks clean…not cluttered
