Thanked: 4207It took a few cans and a few revisits with the flare wrenches to get everything tight but hydraulics are done and tight again. I was afraid the pressure plates seized up somehow as the clutch felt very stiff but it seems to be lightening up a bit as the system gets worked.
Installing the tail and running lights next.

Thanked: 4207Lucas, prince of darkness never looked so bright on this car.
New buckets, with new hi out put LEDs installed. Also decided to add the non period appropriate enfield shields cause I always liked the look of em.
They may actually help truckers not get annoyed by my beams actually. Cause damn these are bright!
Willl take the time to ensure these are aimed well and may really not even need the auxiliary driving lights on the car after all.
Just need to wire up the grounds to the runners and the tails and lights are done!

Thanked: 4207Thanks Steve.
I kept her name as received. Noddy. After a childrens animated car in a cartoon. It’s been her name for 50 years now so I figured she was too old to change it..
Hoping to be firing it up real soon now!"Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

I hope you have better luck with The LED's in those round 7 inchers than I did. The ones with the patterns in the glass threw funky patterns out front.
After 3 different sets, I found some clear ones with tripods inside which worked better. kind of Lucas repops off ebay.
What bulbs are you using?

Thanked: 4207Umm, bright Chinese ones..? Hehe.
4500 lumens, 4000 k colour and off road bulbs, to start. If I don’t like the pattern I will try them in my Hella semi sealed housings as they still have the diffuser in the front.
If I still don’t like them, I’ll go with the tripods as they also look very cool off.
These are them, with a heat fin, but no moving parts or fans to wear out.

Looks like the Beamtech ones I like to use. Sometimes, rotating them 180 gives a better pattern.

Thanked: 4207Yup. I think I need to do that as the low beam shield seems to be upside down as received in mine.
Nice to have spare beam rings now and I’m going to try and bang out the old buckets. They might look good still painted. And they are original and certain features look better than the new Lucas buckets do."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."
