I set these limbs up in the lathe to drill them. Angling a little off center but still center enough to drill out the piff from end to end. I had just enough length to get them both out of the same limb. I've gotten my CA finish down pat nowadays. No blemishes or rough spots. It sure took a while to get the CA finishes figured out. I could still use another chuck so I don't have to change attachments so often.

Turned some handles and farrules for a pair of weeding tools I forged. Had to make myself a new one since i ran over the old one with the mower. (that really made some noise! ). The walnut handled one is for me and the oak handle one as a gift for my son. The white oak is from a historic tree in the area where the settlers made treaties with the natives.

Nice pickle forks for sure. The whole project looks good, the handles and ferrules are a great touch to your forging.

Really nice take on a weeding tool. Love the results. Gives me yet more inspiration to try my hand at smithing sometime in the future.

Today I managed to make 3 kaleidoscopes (Zebrawood) and one shave brush (Purpleheart).

Also made a tool to help clean out the taper on both ends of my lathe. I used a 20 guage bronze bore brush tip...
