I do not always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Duvel
Bruno is right, Belgium is the capitol of beer excellence bar none. In no country is there such a diversity of beers, and especially unique are the lambic beers which are found nowhere else. The Trappist ales are really good, especially the Chimays.

Thanked: 0If I may state my preference...
My taste runs to Newcastle Brown Ale. While I live in the Portland, OR. Metro area, I don't care for light beers or pale ales. A nice brown ale suits me just fine.Scott

I like pretty much anything that comes out of the Sierra Nevada Brewery and Kona Long Board out of Hawaii, the Kona Fire Rock is pretty good to.

For those in the Pacific NW I recently tried a Red Bicycle India Pale Ale and was suitably impressed with it's distinct character and full flavour.

Totally agree with you there! My favourite beer is Leffe Blonde, also Belgian, which has a faint caramel/nutty taste that I just cant get enough of..! I think its about 6% or something, and it has a very smooth fizz with none of the yeasty taste you get from some other beers.
I am a huge cider fan as well, but not the rubbish like Magners/ Bulmers etc... I like the cloudy Cornish scrumpy that comes out of the keg at about 11% and almost flat, just a very fine fizz like a vintage champagne! Only problem is after 10 pints of the stuff you dont know which day of the week it is, nor do you remember how to get home! Come to that, the last night out I had on this stuff I could barely remember which foot went in front of which... Its still an excellent pint though! Some of them even have a slight green tint to them..!

Thanked: 171I love pretty much anything coming out of Stone Brewing Co. Ruination is unbelievable, Arrogant Bastard and Levitation are damn good as well.
I also love me some Magic Hat #9, Troegs Nugget Nectar, Dogfish Head 90 minute, and Rogue Dead Guy, to name a few.
