Still ugly, but maybe a bit less so. Put on an offset Hammer Performance air cleaner and (louder) chrome mufflers. Also pulled the highway pegs when I put on the drag bars. Still more I'd like to do...

    This was my last bike.
Sold it about 5 years ago after the MTB bug bit and no longer had the time to ride.

Updates on the Shovel build... Those are just the pipes for the first fire up.

I'm even more jealous of your garage than your bike. Mine is so small I have to wheel the bike into the driveway if I want to do anything at all. Heck you even have a lift!!

I was a factory certified Harley-Davidson service tech for many years & turned wrenches for a few dealers. I still have all my tools & I had two lifts in my garage but I sold one to make some room. As long as I have one, I'm good. It looks like he has two or more lifts in his garage. I have 2 Snap On toolboxes full of Snap On tools. My bigger box is 6' wide. I can tell some stories. One guy always bragged how he was the best & also bragged on his Harbor Freight tools saying they were really Snap On tools with Harbor Freight's name on them.
Most of his work came back because he would never diagnose the problem correctly & they used to give his come backs to me because they knew I would diagnose & fix 'em right the first time. He was twice as big as me & always threatened to kick my @ss because I always made him look stupid! I always had fun when my dealer would send me to Milwaukee for update classes.
Love that shovel holli4pirating! That was my first Harley, a shovel.

That's at the shop which is building the bike for me. I don't have the skills to build a bike; not by a long shot. I try to learn what I can...

My first Harley, my shovel, I built from a basket case............boxes of parts, a motor, frame & title plus a factory service manual. It's to hard to learn about 'em.

Fist bike I rebuilt was a 1978 KZ650 in my fathers basement. Brought the rolling chassis and engine upstairs separately then finished up outside. I helped my brother bring up a whole bike from the basement (couple of times) and that experience taught me to do it separately. Guess Ive always been doing work on my bikes outside.
