That's a pretty sweet spoon you carved...

Hey fellas, sorry I've been away for a while. I went through a divorce, and am finally settled into my new place-- so hopefully, the posts should be back on a regular schedule.
Tonight it was Plumcake in the Lumberjack, with some locally made bourbon. Cheers!"The ability to reason the un-reason which has afflicted my reason saps my ability to reason, so that I complain with good reason..."

Thanked: 45Hey Stevie, I'm not sure what's available on your side of the pond, but I'm pretty sure Samuel Gawith is made there. If it's more readily available there than here, His Golden Glow aka Medium Virginia Flake is nice. I find it to have a sweet VA taste, and light in nic. Wessex makes some good VA flakes as well. Brown VA flake, Golden Va flake & Brigade CDF, all produce a satifiying smoke while not being overwhelming in the nic dept.

Thanked: 1160Looks like he does good work. I might suggest if you are dead set on one of his pipe then buy one and a cob also. Once you smoke with the cob and decide what types of tobacco you really like, then dedicate your new expensive briar to that tobacco. Trust me....you'll appreciate this advice later. Nothing worse than smoking through a good pipe only to realize after what you really like...pipes will ghost flavors from tobaccos.

Thanked: 8I will do that Mr Nightblade, I have decided to try Frog Morton cella for my first tobacco for no other reason than everyone rates it very highly, have to start somewhere and then perhaps a cherry type smoke I like cherry's.
