Hey, I bet the guys at Walker Briar works could help out with that ? I know they've been doing a bit of restructuring but someone there should be able to help somehow ?

Stressed night at work tonight Grrrrr ! A little Red Wine and some Pilots mix in my Viking quarter bent rustic tomato might take the edge off.

It is a basket pipe and not worth the postage. I was surprised and never thought of it being bad to lay it there.

Just having my traditional first bowl of Bayou Morning in a saddlebit little Sea Rock with coffee. Today is my 38th anniversary in Law Enforcement, probably have three more to go and then I'll retire again. My first retirement only lasted two months, I plan to make the next one last.

Just looked at the three I have and they're dated 04/15 so should be good to open. Still trying to hold off as they are so good after two years. Not sure how much longer I can wait.

I say open one it will age faster with some air in the can. I like this stuff even fairly fresh but it does smoke a little wet probably due to the topping. I agree it really benefits from age as many Virginia Perique's do but even a few months helps a lot.

Last night I pulled out my Peterson Killarney XL90 which hasn't seen much action since I cleaned it about a month ago. This pipe is one of my few dedicated Latakia pipes and I wound up loading it with Dunill Night Cap and had a great smoke out doors on my stoop. The temperature was about 70 deg F and very comfy smoking time.

Some are 'made in Republic of Ireland' and a few are 'made in Ireland', which are older. Pre 1948 IIRC. One is a "Irish Free State" and most are the shape 120. The gold spigot was bought from out of the Peterson lobby display in Dublin. Normally not for sale, but a friend was a big time pipe collector visting over there in Dublin and talked them out of it ......... or so he said.

If they had P-lips I cut the end to make a regular lip out of it. No bents now, though I've had some in the past. I've read that Peterson uses Moroccan briar, but I don't know if that is since their inception, all along, or only for a short/long period. Good smokers one way or another.

I understand the feeling. Been in a military for almost 30 yrs. 3 more to go. I'm counting days!

A bit of Early Morning Pipe in a Comoy Specimen Straight Grain pot, and some Baby's Bottom in a 1939 Dunhill shape 60
